Circumstances force her to leave the orphanage and in the big city she meets and joins up with a band of enterprising space "merchants". It's evolving more capabilities as she grows older. Thing is, Alice has a rather evolutionary cybernetic and DNA enhancement. With Kindle Unlimited, I was able to indulge without spending money.Īlice Long is an orphan with no memory of her parents left in a rather strict orphanage on a remote planet. It was one of those, "if you liked that, maybe you'll like this" suggestions. This is one of those books I likely wouldn't have found without the Amazon Kindle Unlimited package. No one hurt, but had some damage and other things to resolve. But we've had a tornado pass within a block and a half of my house. It's been a bit longer than I planned for this one.
